About

Hi, I’m Louise!

Following a horse riding accident as a child, I suffered with severe lower back pain for a large part of my late teens and 20’s. After trying various modalities of treatment to help the situation, I finally discovered Osteopathy. In the past I felt as though I hadn’t been listened to, so as you can imagine, it was a relief to find my first Osteopath. Finally I felt understood by somebody who was extremely professional and compassionate and was able to make a big difference to my whole wellbeing.

I qualified as an Osteopath from the British School of Osteopathy (now The University College of Osteopathy) in 2012. Since then I have worked in various Osteopathic and Chiropractic clinics as a locum, whilst developing my own clinic. During this time I have enjoyed helping a wide variety of patients get over their difficulties and have built a very busy and successful clinic.

Osteopathy has been a huge part of my life, but it has never been my only interest. The more experience I gain the more I have become aware of the link between physical health and emotional and spiritual wellbeing. With this in mind, my vision I have begun to work in both fields. For a while I thought I might like to run a multidisciplinary clinic, but as I investigated into this I realised that the chances of me becoming a manager and ceasing to be a skilled therapist were very likely. I didn’t want to lose my skills, so therefore I streamlined my working situation and created my own beautiful work space from home. Much admired by patients and enjoyed by me on a daily basis, this space provides me with the ability to work as the professional I always wanted to be, in a space that is entirely mine, whilst also allowing me to address the mind body balance with my other line of work. I look forward to welcoming you into my clinic.

At the age of 16 I developed Glandular Fever, the aftermath of which was devastating. My energy levels were at an all time low and I never felt well. It was during the few years following the acute phase of this that I discovered the Bach Flowers and Cranial Sacral Therapy. I was sceptical at first, but I following these treatments I began to recognise the benefits. I believe it was the combination of these treatments that helped break my old story of illness.

More recently I have had the opportunity of an introduction into a whole world of alternative medicines and therapies, all of which have power and standing in their own rite. So, as well as flying the flag for Osteopathy and other evidence based therapies, my hope is that the Mana Sanctuary will be a platform from which our clientele and friends can experience the healing powers of a wide variety of these other specialties.

It is with the greatest of pleasure that I welcome you through our doors and I hope that we can provide what your body, mind and soul truly seek.
